random post
finally I put up my tag board. haha. cos I was so bored today, being at home the whole day's the pits.
at last, I managed to perfect ge qian and dong feng po on the piano. having a stupid computer which hangs so often I feel like smashing it up. the semiquavers on dong feng po were like the way when I learnt how to play feng.. it was a bit confusing with you rfingers getting tangled easily. once you know where to place your fingers, you'd get used to it.
and ge qian is such a sad song, it makes me want to cry, especially when I saw the MV on youtube. yuan you hui sounds nicer, it's more of those relaxing kind of music, and it's easy to play as well. =) the MV is more casual and relaxed too in a way. =)
jielun so rocks my world. curse of the golden flower EP out on 8th dec. can't wait. definitely going to get it.

dammit. I hate being sick. My blocked nose is bringing me enough hell as it is. It's really the pits when it's like a tap. What's more I wanted to go to the library to find more books to beat the boredom that I face at home everyday. I can't be online 24/7 anyway, my com would probably burn up.
So now I'm stuck at home, posting this entry and listening to jielun on my windows media player. I'm a bit sick of blasting his songs through my mp3 mainly because my mp3's running out of battery and I'm trying to conserve the battery for band camp even though I bought 2 spare batteries. stay for all 3 days if possible. I can't get out of the house either, cos it's raining. And at least, small consolation that my cold seems to be clearing up slightly. 3 panadol cold tablets in 2 days, omg.
It seems like what I can do these days leading up to band camp is to be online, listen to jay, play the piano, watch tv, post pictures on the blog, watch jay's videos on youtube(which is super lag at night).. It's a bit of a drag, but I'm not complaining. Since when do you get so much free time readily available at your hands? It's also the first time in our whole secondary school that we get no homework at all during the holidays, so might as well play as much as we want and while we can.. =)
and when I tried to upload the pictures in my handphone to the computer, problems occurred. Forget it, I'd wait for tonight to ask my dad for help in uploading the pictures into the com and adding songs to my handphone. at least I have both my handphone and my mp3 with me for band camp. =)

besties meet up!
met up with pearl today! =) it's been really a long time..
so we went to bugis and we got LOST. =x I bought jay's ye hui mei CD! at a street side stall though.. so love dong feng po! it's beautiful to listen to and it's super soothing. =D
we just walked around bugis for awhile, went to mac's for lunch.. and she's absolutely nuts over wu zun. xD but I'm crazy over jay. so we're equal lol. I even have pics of curse of the golden flower too. will upload them later.. =)
couldn't stand being around bugis for so long, it was a little boring.. intercontinental hotel's a great place, it's really beautiful and the deco is great. it looks like a palace. =)
went to orchard after that and just walked around, having a lot of fun..
now I have a terrible cold. every sneeze that comes brings out a lot of mucus, it's really gross it makes my stomach turn. ew. I hope it clears up soon, I want to go for band camp. I don't want to pass it to everybody..
and the ye hui mei CD I bought at that street side stall has format problems.. not in terms of playing.. when I meant to copy it in windows media player, the artiste's name and the titles of all the songs were all DIFFERENT. ah stupid thing. from now on, I will never ever buy CDs from street side stalls again. I'd go to TS or CD-Rama. though slightly more expensive, but worth it if it can be successfully copied into windows media player.

more on jay. =)
just watched dong feng po on youtube. it's a real nice song and the musical style reminds me a bit of qian li zhi wai, only dong feng po is more soothing and more for easy listening. =) but the way to get a smooth running one is to play the video twice. so now I might go and buy ye hui mei album. God, I'm so outdated. buying his previous albums only now. but it's only cos I became a jay fan only like last year. =x so now i'm trying to find whatever albums and EPs out in the stores to make up the complete collection, since I already have november's chopin, EP huo yuan jia and still fantasy. I might even get his EP curse of the golden flower. all the still fantasy album MVs inside as well. =)

fun day!
hahax. I crashed sabbie's place today! after showering, I was on 180 on my way to their house when tabbie sms-ed me, asking whether I wanted to go swimming. great. and I just showered too. -_-" but it's no big deal, can shower again.. at most hike up the water bill. =x
so anyway we went swimming.. I finally can swim to the deep end without the help of any stupid old floats haha.. considering that I hadn't swam for ages.. so we did 10 laps and were like dead exhausted.. but we had a lot of fun since it's been ages since we last went swimming together.. so now the result is that I'm tired due to the chlorine in the water, but I'm not complaining.. It's a small price to pay for a lot of fun together. =)
I wish we had alot more times together like this.. they're really the times that we must have together and treasure the most, cos once school starts, the great big tsunami of homework, tests, exams, revision and CCA will overwhelm us again.. =x

prom night!
prom was great fun! we played games like triple platinum and CSSI.
ah shucks I missed out the chance to get a jay poster in triple platinum.. and CSSI was fun, cos based on MORQUETTE ROSSA we had to find items that fits in the letters. table 20 got 4th, dammit. lucky draw had really cool prizes. I got 31st, so I got a bag from yellow. too bad it isn't crumpler.. but never mind, at least it's better than not getting any prize.. got ipod nano some more!! the photohunt was funny, and the one with dina and seha posing was really funny!! so the prom king and prom queen thing was cool..
nominees were cheryl choy, alicia, wendy wen, wendy huang,jesselyn and priya panse for the girls. the guys were reuben, cedric, ernest phua, licheng and akmal.
it was quite cool actually.. the catwalk was kind of cool.. man ernest is lucky! he had wendy wen and priya with him for the catwalk.. they had mr and miss popular and photogenic as well..

prom in a few hours..
I kind of dread the prom. It's like so ironic you aren't very close to your own classmates, but close to your cca mates.. The irony really is there. never mind. I'll just get it over and done with, and once it's over, I'm going straight back. Anyway I'm not used to being decked out in glamourous wear and heels, I prefer being in jeans, shorts, shirts, track shoes and slippers.. Doing all that makeup is not that fun to me cos I don't fancy them. So now I have mixed thoughts about prom.. Should I go or not? That's the biggest question..
Anyway, some people I know are just total BIMBOS and IDIOTS of all time. They're the act cool kind which I absolutely detest. At least I'm considered too blur to be one, like what someone said to me. If I was one, I would go hide my face. Being a BIMBO is so uncool anyway. They don't want to be ordinary people, they want to be in the limelight. It isn't really cool, cos if something happens to you, you risk your reputation being ruined. and to be frank, this is probably the biggest reason why I'm dreading the prom.
Hell. never mind, I just go and let my hair down. It's only 1 night, and there're still other more exciting things for me to do after that, like being online, listening to jay and the upcoming band camp. may want to stay overnight, depends on whether I can or not.
And this saturday is njc band tune-in. Going for it, even though I didn't make the cut-off. Looks like I have to go MI for first 3 months. At least it's not so bad. Better 3 months than your whole jc life.

1 day to prom
I can't get in to jc for 1st 3 months, damnit. but aidil told me that I could appeal, so I'm going for it tml if possible.. thanks a million for that advice aidil. it means a lot to me.. =D
I'm kind of dreading prom. It makes me very uncomfortable, cos I'm abit of a loner in school and I'd frankly be with the band members than some of the sec 4s, cos some of the girls can be real bimbos and some of the guys can be total idiots. let thursday come quickly, so I can get on with my life normally.. damn. I hate this. It always boils down to this, and I really can't take it. Somehow, I find a lot of solace in gabbing with tab and sab, listening to and playing jay's songs, being online.. It's like so ironic and sometimes I really wish that the school wasn't that fussed up over the seating arrangements. They really altered it so seriously, I wish they'd done the arrangement for us instead.
The school's also like damn stupid la..

East Coast Park!
Tremendous load of fun. stayed over at tab and sabthebee's place the night before. then morning woke up at 6am. fell back asleep and woke up at 6.50. shit. hahaha. so we just dressed and dashed out of the house cos we were meeting joshua before going to ecp.. had a blast there. went cycling for 2 hours and my butt hurts big time. and I have a bad tan right now that's fading without me applying cooling lotion.. and I nearly fell off my bike when a woman suddenly walked so slowly in my lane.. You could imagine the shock I got, and I nearly crashed into a drain. when cycling back from the fishing jetty, me and sab ended up together, with her in front.. lost track of tab and joshua cos we somehow split up somewhere along the way.
After that we bought mac's and walked out to the breakwater.. climbed up and sat there eating.. it was like frying ourselves under the sun..
Went bowling after that.. hah. I discovered my bowling skills are passable, considering it's my first time bowling.. and that the ball kept rolling towards the drain and that I dropped the ball once. thankfully not on my leg, but on the ground behind me. I felt like a total idiot.
Left east coast after that, went to find a bus stop that has service 196. couldn't find one, so we walked until we could find service 76. big mistake. the trip from there to yio chu kang took more than an hour. my butt was already hurting from cycling, now it was worse. me, sab and josh ended up falling asleep in the bus, but tab didn't for some reason..
me and tab went to bpp to eat ljs before going back to her place cos I left my jay piano scores and my spare clothes there..
tab! let's play qing tian together k? looking forward to that time.. hahahaha..

Finally. It's been ages since I last changed my template. I so love Jay, which is why I made my template Jay-themed. It's really cool too. His songs are really nice, he's good-looking in a way, he's multi-talented and can play so many instruments..

percussion outing!
happy birthday jocelyn! lucky girl.. her birthday's right after the big 'o's!
we went to yong siew toh conservatory of music to watch a string ensemble performance.. the music was very nice, but it's more than enough to lull you to sleep.. padey, cindy and jongling were behind us and they probably were half-asleep, and not to mention the fact that we were all starving.. we left during the intermission and went to vivo city for dinner.. it's really a nice place.. and we had a good time walking around and taking alot of funny pictures, with stupid yet funny poses.. Percussionists who want the pictures can go to my photo album to take it, or I can send to you via MSN..
so we were all so late, and some who had to be home by 10 faced trouble.. luckily I don't have a curfew.. cindy, jongling, padey and jocelyn also didn't have one.. =) we left vivo after that and just ran to catch the MRT home.. =) a fun day overall.. and there's prom night upcoming..

finally!! the big 'o's are over at last!!!! today a maths paper 2 and chem.. a maths.. I should have done the coordinate geometry question.. never mind, it's over.. I just hope I can get at least a B4 for a maths.. chem was a breeze.. considering that my mind was not really in it when I was studying.. haha..

Went to jj, nj and pj open house in the weeks leading up to the big 'o's.. jj is ok lah.. nice place.. most likely I'll end up there cos it's near my place and there's a direct bus too..
nj's open house was the best.. cool! since tabs is there too, I'm hoping I can be in the same jc with her.. we'd be SO happy..
