my term 2 results are crap. =(
even though it's already eligible for promotion to j2, I still think it's super sucky. passing 2 H2s and 2 H1s no doubt is the minimum. but the grades are just less than impressive. C, D, E, S. thanks be that there's no U, considering that I've flunked the last few tests. and that S is no other than maths. =\ and I was so worried that my name would be called out, meaning that my parents have to come. big, big relief that they don't have to come after all. =D
oh well. enough about results.
went to national library with nisa, steffi and yongcheng for pw research. loads of articles we found. =D I love that library man. so much information can be found and the facilities are just great. zhihong met us later, then after that dixon, jiaxin and sijie joined us. after pw reasearch, went for dinner minus nisa and zhihong cos they have something on. went bugis mac's to eat cos we were on very low budget. and I saw chinchye and miss kim at bugis. hahaha. =D
nothing much these days. my life seems mundane. =\
I'm not just a percussionist, I'm a flautist too. =D
ok, that pic is just me attempting to play the flute. can play 1 note on it only so far cos I don't really know the fingerings for flute. can always learn. =D and I want to learn how to play saxophone and clarinet if possible. haha. =D

hmm.
I feel so demoralised these days and it's kind of affecting me cos my studies don't seem to be going well. =(
school's reopening soon. dunno if that's a cause to cheer or cry. to cheer is cos I can have my normal life, cry is cos of the amount of revision that needs to be covered. -.o
wasn't even in the mood to do proper revision, I just finished 1 maths exercise on binomial and started off on differentiation tutorial.. then I gave up and started to read that new novel which I just borrowed from the library yesterday. damn. lacking the motivation. I need it! even though my results are kind of a wake up call now, but I still feel the motivation isn't enough.
what's the crap about j1s not needing to mug at all, just pass the re-exams then it's enough. that's so not true lor. it's like doubling the burden of studying. isn't it better to get through the exams once and for all. saves the trouble of mugging and extreme case of panic. and it doesn't help that some people think I'm nuts to be mugging also. -.-

shit. my chem seem to be getting screwed. I'm starting to find that work is getting more impossible. -.o
why is it that chem seems like bio to me now? not that there's any link between the stuff we study in chem and bio, but more like the amount of stuff that we have to memorise. and the worse of it is that i'm relying very heavily on chem to get promoted. =(
can't afford to fail anymore. save me please. I need the motivation to study harder.
thurs was frustration day, I flunked my first chem test, and I sat through the tut feeling super lousy and I felt like crying. maths turned out to be chem consultation with sijie cum talk crap session! cos they were going through PAE stuff. -.0 even though I ponned ALOT of maths lectures during first 3 months, I still am not paying attention to that particular lecture. on geometric progression. =\
went for lunch at macs with sijie, jerome, zhishen, shaun and dixon. had fun crapping again! and we rushed back to school to get the thick stack of GP, chem and econs notes and tutorials waiting for us at the photocopy shop, thus we were very late for chem lecture. and I missed out on born-haber cycle! RAH. must revise liao.
today was just maths lecture on binomial. and the stuff is quite straightforward, and I simply felt like dozing off and I read my smses and my storybook to keep myself from falling asleep.
went lot 1 with weizhi after that, to buy some personal stuff and also something for shengjie. but we didn't get anywhere with that. why is it that it's so hard for a girl to find something for a guy? and it's hard to find out what he exactly likes to, so that makes it mission near-impossible. -.-
oh wells. guess I'm going to go catch up on my work already.

lessons!
abit draining for me today. chem lecture in the morning was bearable, but I was hungry cos I had very little breakfast before coming to school. and I was the first kuku from s34 to reach school so early cos I wanted to beat the peak hour rush. =\
after chem me sijie shermin marilyn and chayee all went to macs for breakfast, then celeste and mahmudah joined us.
then maths lect was a big, big, BIG bore cos it was re-teaching of the first 2 chapters which I already knew, cos I didn't pon the maths lectures for these 2 during PAE. and I regretted not ponning the make-up lecture now cos I ended up dozing off in the lecture.
big bummer. chem tutorial on thurs! =( and I was looking forward to coming abit later on thurs. what a big drag. =\
but oh well. my homework stack's nearly cleared! =D

jiajun's birthday celebration! =D
yesterday was great fun! =DD
wanted to go out with sarah to study actually but she can't go out so I went to study with joel, jamie and victor at plaza sing mos burger. -.- and I managed to get most of my maths done. went billy bombers to eat, and I spent so much at a go!! damn I feel so guilty.

then they wanted to watch fantastic 4 but I couldn't go cos I'm meeting x07s27 ppl for jiajun's surprise birthday celebration. =D and we ended up studying at cathay so that they woudln't be late for the 5.15 movie. while I had to go at 4.45. cathay is NEVER ever the place to study. confirmed, guarantee plus chop.
met celeste at somerset, shiyun suern and ah boon were late! so we ended up chatting for awhile as we waited for them.
then me shiyun and suern went out of the station to set up the candles on jiajun's birthday cake and waited for birthday to appear. and I told celeste is that high likelihood he'd be late. BUT WHO WOULD EXPECT THAT HE'D BE EARLY! so celeste waited for jiajun and ah boon while me shiyun and suern hid outside the station.
then when he appeared, the 3 of us jumped out with the birthday cake and starting singing happy birthday! =DD he was so surprised and touched by the surprise! =)

we went dinner at pasta mania! and me and suern shared a pizza cos we were near broke, we weren't very hungry and some more I had eaten so much for lunch. played the stupid and very funny guessing questions. HAHAHA pretty much like those that we played all the time during s27 days. =D

as we were cutting the neoprints to share among us we met evan sarah[27th sc president] and jehanne there also. =)
went pooling after that at cine kpool! =D jiajun and ah boon rule the pool tables man. they're so pro. and me and suern are sooo noob at pool. no thanks to not playing it for so long. me and celeste were 1 team, shiyun and suern in the other. the 4 of us shared 1 table while jiajun and ah boon took the other one. after playing for quite awhile, me and suern got tired and we sat down to chat instead, then celeste and shiyun teamed up to continue playing with the guys.
ah boon left early after that, then me and suern went out to heeren's to walk around before joining up again with celeste shiyun and jiajun.

we walked from heeren to orchard station, then back to heeren again. then celeste and jiajun went their seperate ways while me shiyun and suern went to 7-11 to buy something to eat before going to somerset station to take the train home.

busy busy!
hah. gonna be a busy day ahead of me. going to school at 10am to meet dixon so that he can pass me the organic chem notes, then rush off to plaza sing to meet the j2 percussionists to study, then to commonwealth station to meet suern and shiyun, then off to orchard to meet up with s27[PAE] ppl =)
and there's an organic chem test in the 1st week of term 3. well done. and i'm supposed to print out the tutorial from the website but I realised that I accidentally deleted mahmudah's message to me which contained the website.
RAH. I should have written it down earlier. cos I was clearing out my less significant messages so that my inbox wouldn't burst and I probably deleted it by mistake. shitness. so now I have to sms her again to ask her to send me the details again. what a noobshit I am.
got to clear up my stack of homework by net tuesday, which leaves me some leeway to revise. and the horror of econs is becoming evident.
mrs tan told us that our econs common test consists of probably
10 chapters. starting from the very basic.
OMG.mugging out isn't my beloved.
but since when is it anyone's beloved? unless you're a nerd or something.. and I haven't finished my econs revision!! not to mention that I continually mugged out price elasticity of demand cos I flunked that chapter's lecture test. by 2 marks. WTSHIT.I'm already getting drained out but the homework load seems to growing again. just when I thought that it was decreasing. something which never happened to me in my days at commonwealth.

haha
it's band day again =) and oh please no more talk crap sessions. i'm getting more annoyed these days being in band cos I keep getting shot down by tay. how demoralising. and it means I have to brush up on drumming already. not easy when you've been a mallet player for 4 years.
anyway yesterday econs lesson was a drag. we ended way too early. but not a good thing for 07s34 cos when we were about to leave, mrs tan stopped us and told us that we had another econs tutorial after this. WHICH NONE OF US KNEW ABOUT. wth!
talk about irritation. then during tutorial we were going through the lecture test, and someone suggested that we finish going through the whole paper by today. it sounds ok, but the amount of details covered in just 1 question is enough to kill. and everyone was so tired already by then. I felt like strangling that guy for saying this, he's being really selfish! just because he isn't tired and wants to finsih up the whole paper, doesn't mean that everyone would react the same way!
you'd have to spare a thought for the other classmates! no doubt everyone wants to get through the test fast with all the details there, but you'd have to see if everyone is alert enough to absorb the details. if you're so tired by then, what's the point? nothing would enter your brain anyway so you might as well just give up going through the details for the day. it's not as though if you don't complete it, there won't be another time to go through it!
wow. that was enough time screaming out my frustrations. =\

monday. =)
been busy the last days so haven't been updating. anyway my updating is kind of irregular. hahaha. backtrack to what's been happening recently. =)
studying with sarah is just great man. =) haven't met her in ages and it's really great to catch up with her after not meeting up for months. we planned to meet up much earlier but we got caught up with alot of things, namely me-syf, sarah-pre-u seminar. and not to mention alot of tests that required alot of revision.
07s27 chalet was a great success! =D met up with shihui for lunch at jec first, and I saw alot of ex-commonwealth ppl there. and we went to commonwealth station to meet suern, xiaotang and shiyun to go to tampines together, to get more drinks for the bbq in case we ran out of stock later. =) the bus trip to the chalet took so long. and I was the only one who had peiting's directions, and the worst of it was that we were not entirely sure where exactly to alight, until I called yongcheng. thank goodness he remembered the stage number on the ez-link card reader, that made us able to alight at the correct place. and we got down, not realising that the chalet was right in front of us, and we ended up walking a short distance away from the chalet. 0_o another call to yongcheng and we finally reached the chalet. -.-

percussion dinner! =D
band yesterday was seriously dumb, not to mention seriously embarrassing for me. thanks to christofle and mr tay. =\
tay was rattling something about why charleston wasn't staying on in band after syf, cos we need a tuba player desperately. and I was half listening, not really paying attention to him. then out of the blue, christofle suddenly said "he's glennda's friend!"
imagine my shock when he said that. I certainly wasn't anticipating or expecting this sudden attck at all. and I was so stunned that for an instant I immediately said no. and I could feel all the heat start to rush up my face. and everyone was looking at me.
it's true, I know him in shadows, but that doesn't mean I know him personally partly cos I'm in scdc while he's in games.
then tay went something like "maybe you can use your charm and try to persuade him to join band."
WTH. that was 100% malu-ation. it was so damn embarrassing, I could feel my ears burning hot by then. if there was a mirror in front of me, I bet my ears would be glowing red. talk about extreme embarrassment. thanks alot tay. that embarrassment is something I don't need at all. I felt like digging a crater and throwing myself in to save myself the embarrassment. and definitely I wasn't pleased with what tay said. it wasn't amusing to me at all, it seriously sounded very stupid, and if I dare say, abit crude. it's something I really can't stand, not to mention the embarrassment that followed. what 'charm' lor. WTF!
joel, jamie, cynthia and victor came back! =DDD went for dinner at jp fish&co, had alot of fun talking crap and laughing non-stop over the silliest thing. cynthia told me something in the bus on the way to jp, I got shocked for an instant, what she told me kind of brought up a whole lot of emotions in me that I'd been desperately trying to hide for some time. oh well. that's not really important now.

it seems like quite awhile since I last blogged even though my last post was on sunday. =\ to much holiday work to do already. band yesterday was.. ok? somehow I don't feel that I enjoy jjcsb as much as cmb. being in cmb makes me feel so comfortable, as though I'm still a part of it. and the size of cmb further emphasizes how small jjcsb is. and the size of cmb percussion also makes me feel the same way.
watched pirates 3 with weizhi after band at cathay, the movie was exciting! =) even though there was 1 part where it was abit boring, before the showdown. and I think I dozed off abit. =| and the movie effects were abit gory also. ew. and during the movie my phone vibrated 3 times! =\ shihui, asking about chalet stuff; gerald, regarding some leaders' stuff, and my father, calling to find out where I was. 0_o"
so embarrassing to talk on the phone when the movie is on, even though I whispered in the phone, I really felt abit silly doing this cos it's somewhat inconsiderate. considering that I switched my phone to silent mode and all that. I was tempted to just ignore the calls at first but I didn't in the end cos it might be important.
homework stack seems to be getting a teeny weeny bit smaller, even though it's barely past the start of june. my chem tutorials are done, maths is barely halfway through and 2 econs tuts to clear. started on 1 econs tut already, and I'm getting confused with the explanations that need to be done. 0_o!!

escape theme park!
physics excursion to escape was damn fun! yakult ride was hardly exciting at all. they didn't go fast enough to the extent that would make us really scream out loud, it's just more like we were screaming for fun. the viking ship was thriller. I shouldn't have sat in the extreme end with steffi and jiaxin, I screamed my lungs out. they went up so high, I closed my eyes throughout the whole ride. I was so afraid that I would throw up after the ride. damn. water ride was fun and thrilling, me and sijie got super wet. though she was wetter than me cos she sat at the back and I sat in the front. somehow sitting at the back makes you wetter. and go-kart was an unqualified disaster cos I had an accident and my foot got stuck in the gas pedal. WTSHIT. luckily I was wearing shoes and not slippers. I was tempted to wear slippers today but I changed my mind at the last minute. looking back, I was lucky I didn't break my ankle. the angle that it was in earlier when it got caught in the gas pedal was scary. =\ so the result of it: pains in the chest-possibly because I hit the steering wheel in the impact, bruises on my legs, and an abrasion at the side of my neck. the funny thing is that it doesn't hurt when you rub it, only when you press it. and everyone saw that injury and they said that it looked very painful. talk about disgusting. the bruises would really take forever to fade now cos it's not blue-black, it's RED-black. photos would come in at a later stage. =)
about chem tutorial.
I think I'm seriously starting to suffer from chem overdose. cos of the amount of stuff you have to memorise for mole concept, atomic structure, chem bonding and energetics. omg. and if I don't do well now how would I cope when it's promos and when I'm in J2? there's alot more stuff to memorise now, compared to secondary school. talk about great contrast. =(
on friday, I went back to commonwealth to take my o level cert which has been calling for collection for ages. but I never had the time these days cos of too many tests, SYF during may, alot of work to get out of the way, mountain of revision to do.. and I found out from my juniors that there was SYF showcase tonight. and I managed to get a ticket from tingting. =) listening to them play safari and jericho was amazing, I had no idea that the speed for safari was so fast. and the way percussion played, I realised how much they had improved from the last time I saw them. and I didn't go support them during their SYF even though I really wanted to. seeing them onstage later for their performance, I realised just how good they are, and I feel a very great sense of pride for them. they really worked hard, to get their coveted gold for their SYF, and even though it isn't gold with honours, I believe they can work even harder and do their very best for SYF 2009. seeing shermin play the xylophone for jericho, especially the running notes at one point, made me realise just how good she is at running notes, which means I need to practise even more to get even better. and somehow, it kind of reminded me of the time when I was onstage, playing the running notes for 7th night of july 2 years ago at SYF 2005.
CMB Percussionists: If you see this, I just want you to know that I'm really proud of you guys! jiayou and work harder, and strive for the best in whatever you do, and be determined to excel! =D
met seha and jocelyn at css too, haven't seen them for ages ever since seha left jj to go ac, and jocelyn, since cmb syf, when they were waiting for the results. and now she's in poly, with a scholarship too. =D congrats to you! =)
photos for cmb performance would be up soon, cos all the photos taken over the last 3 days are still in my handphone and not uploaded in my computer yet. and this is bad news for my memory card, cos it's always running out of space.
I just realised that I'm suddenly nuts over ross roy. considering that I had the recording since sec 3 in my computer, but I just don't really like the piece. I keep listening to the recording on my phone, listening out for the percussion, clarinet, trumpet and saxophone solos, and trying to piece it together in my mind without looking at the score, so that the next time we play this piece again, at least I wouldn't be glued to the score all the time.
