I'm Glennda, 19 going on 20 this year!
Came into the world on 5th August 1990.
I have a passion for long distance running, sports, reading, music, writing and many other things, and blue-myfavouritecolour is an avenue for me to share my muses, thought and whatever's been going on.
Eventually I want to run Adidas Sundown Full Marathon and Standard Chartered Full Marathon!

Through God, I can do anything, and nothing is impossible. For God loves us and will never forsake us.
Oh and I'm a big fan of Westlife and Jay Chou, and would love it if I can get the chance to meet Westlife in person one day! :D
in a flash, another year has gone by. and it officially marks the end of jc life.
and yes, I've found a job! =D at long last. so now I'm going to slack off the days until I start work, which will be on 12th jan. =D yesman with tab at jp on monday was a blast, we laughed like crazy. it's downright stupid, retarded and incredibly funny! LOL.
class bbq on sunday, not sure whether I can make it. but it'll be the last time I see some of the guys before they enlist next week, which is like only a few days' time omg.

somehow I really wish I was back in 2006 or 2007. the stress and worry level wasn't at astronomical level then. even at 'O's I didn't feel that stressed compared to 'A's. PAE was the most memorable in many ways. =)

the movie's really good! and robert pattinson is so HOT. I have to agree with cherie about that.
and it means I'm going to start reading the series really soon too.
yesman with tab tml at jp, seeing the adverts made me laugh. I bet the movie will make me laugh even more. what can you expect from a jim carrey movie?
it was twilight yesterday with jj perc minus mike, yinghan and jamie. the movie was good, we walked around the national geographic place after the movie, had a really late dinner at marche because the queue outside was so fraking long as usual, and also because the movie started and ended late. =D the movie was supposed to start at 1750, we walked in at around 1755 and the movie actually started at 1800+ if i'm not wrong.
I thought the movie would end around 7plus but I got a shock when I saw that it was already 8pm then.

2009's coming in 2 days' time, not counting today.
I wish I could go back to 2007, where we didn't need to worry about studies. PAE was the best time ever, I guess I could say I was lucky that I went through it because MOE's scrapping that system next year, meaning that next year's batch of j1s will actually start orientation and school in february.

christmas mood
ohwell, christmas is over already. and I ate too much as usual. oh no, here comes the fats! shit. =\
so it was hitting the gym again today to try and get rid of the excess weight. which seems to be marginally successful haha. yep, I've been hitting the gym since 'A's ended to try and look nicer(read: slim down!). =)
it's hard to lose weight especially when you see a whole array of succulent-looking food in front of you.
chrismas season=fats gaining! oh my.
side-note: watching twilight with jj perc people tml. =D and after the movie I'll probably get the book to read as well cos I've always felt that the novel is much better than the movie. evidence is from the harry potter series lol.
gossip session with tab and sabby at their place was as usual full of laughs yesterday. and I swear that this holiday season the adults from my mum's side of the family are crazy over mahjong because of the sudden increase in number of mahjong sessions at my place and at my cousins' place LOL.
but I don't really mind it cos it's always great to meet up with cousins to talk and talk non-stop. without fail it's like a heart2heart session. and that's what I really like about my cousins cos I can be really open with them without any inhibitions. but of course, I can be the same with some of my friends as well. =D
other updates: went for pre-christmas party with hema a week or so back to her cell group mate's house and we had lots of fun there with taboo haha. and I couldn't stop laughing when I was trying to come up with a proper way to describe what was on the card lol. but on the whole it was really fun and familiar to me cos I'm christian, just that I don't really go to church that often now.

the twilight craze.
everyone around me is crazy over twilight and the reason why is obvious.
undeniably, robert pattinson is hot. plus he's really good-looking. =D much better-looking than when he acted as cedric diggory in harry potter and the goblet of fire.
cherie was raving to me on msn last night about how hot he was, on and on. but I have to agree that she's right and that he's really super hot. =D
I guess the novel itself by stephanie meyer must be quite good, since twilight is such a major hit in the box-office. and kristen stewart's pretty as well. =)
and I'm going to watch yesman also, laugh until my sides ache. lol. what can you expect from a jim carrey movie besides alot of laughs?

as the title states, fanaticism over jay seems to have increased tenfold for me these days. =D
I saw this at 7-11 after my piano lesson this afternoon, and I immediately bought it. =)
the best part was that the cashier there was a malay girl. when I entered I heard her playing 倒带 by jolin on her handphone. what happened as I was paying for the magazine was like..
cashier: er you like jay chou alot is it? me: o.O how'd you know? cashier: oh I also like jay chou. his songs very nice. me: I agree, his songs all fantastic! I bought all his albums. =)
she probably figured it out cos I was humming 给我一首歌的时间 when I entered. yeah, I was listening to it when I came in. and that's one song I've been putting on repeat mode ever since I got the 魔杰座 album. LOL.
I have this picture as my computer wallpaper, and my handphone screensaver. =D go figure my fantic status. =D
stupid blogger's giving me a headache again, it wouldn't let me upload anymore photos at the moment, and I'm too tired to keep trying, it'll probably take all night. maybe I'll try uploading another time.

quick update. =)
out for the whole day again today. and still haven't managed to get a job yet argh. =(
hit citylink with tab today for christmas shopping and gelare! gelare's waffles are fantastic, really very good to eat. but unfortunately I think it's meant to be shared between 2 people, cos tab and I ordered 1 each and we couldn't finish it all. it made us want to throw up after stuffing most of it down, I think it was because the waffles were too sweet.
so basically we had fun going around toysrus, kiddy palace(omg LOL) and roaming around suntec, citylink and hitting town for what seems like the nth time ever since 'A's ended. LOL.
IMM with my parents after that to meet my cousin melvin's wife, and her 2-year-old daughter, victoria. she's super duper adorable, and really intelligent too. =D cos she was born in US, perhaps that's the reason why she's somewhat precocious at such a tender age. =D
she's ever ready for the camera. =)

I can't believe she can actually use chopsticks at her age, and it's even more incredible cos she was raised in US.
she loves ice-cream, until the extent that she had a faint ice-cream mustache. LOL.

slack!
this hols has been wayyy too long a slack session. feels funny not studying after months of hitting the books near continuously. LOL.
anyway, quick update, meeting tab later to have fun again! =D can't wait to meet up even though we've already met up a few times ever since 'A's ended for me.
effectively, it's 23 days since 'A's ended, only 3 weeks and a couple of days. how come it feels like 'A's is a distant planet away from us now? o.O

stupid blogger only allows us to upload 5 photos at one go, why?!uploading photos is already such a troublesome task, why slow down the process even more? =\
transferring from the camera to the computer isn't a problem, the real problem comes when you're uploading into friendster/facebook/blog. and the problem is further intensified when you have alot of photos to upload.
and job-hunting is still going strong. possible chance for 2 kinds of jobs already, let's hope I can get one soon. =)

I know i've uploaded the lyrics for this song a few posts back, but if I'm not wrong I think this is the more accurate version, and easier to read as well cos the previous one has more complicated chinese words and this version's abit more simplified.
anyway, I guess I could say I'm addicted to this song because it's really very nice, melody is really great as well. lyrics are nice too. but the MV doesn't seem to have any relation to the song at all for some reason. =\

job hunting isn't easy. =\
went for interview yesterday, seemed to be ok. just hope I can get a job soon because I'm really tired of being a slacker with just the computer in front of me or going out to be a shopaholic. talk about taking a toll on the wallet, honestly.
clearer pic of 07S34 at prom. I look super tanned in this pic omgosh. lol.
still haven't gotten any NUM stuff yet with those discount vouchers from the prom goodie bag. better use it before it expires or it'll be such a total waste. =D
back to commonwealth on tues, cos the juniors were having band camp from mon-wed. not very impressed with what's going on now. playing wise it's hard to tell, since I've never heard them at full band. blame it on me coming at the wrong time. but attitude wise.. best not to say it here, all I can say is that I'm not very impressed with how things are done now. it might just be me being too used to the way how things were done when I was still part of commonwealth.
what do you expect after 2 years? I really don't know, but somehow I feel kind of distant with the juniors now, especially because I haven't come back to visit in ages. like there's a chasm between us now, and I never felt that way before.
my skills have become abit rusty already, thanks to not practising for very long.
I guess it's right to say that things have changed. how is it possible to expect things to remain the same after 2 years have gone by?
at SYF 2005. GOLD. and we performed in the morning, we were the only band to get gold. all the others got either silver or bronze.
just hope that at SYF 2009 commonwealth can maintain the gold. it'll be 4 years consecutive if that was the case, since from 2003 it's been gold. hopefully they can maintain it. =D

job-hunting
I'm on a warpath now. to find a decent job so that I can support myself.
it sure isn't easy to find one now, especially with the recession and the slowly-recovering economy. I guess we have to be as patient as possible and see what's available.
but I hope I can get a job soon. it's way better than staying at home everyday slacking and being online.
I regret I didn't take photos with him during prom. I feel that I miss him right now. like something's missing from me and I can feel it really strongly. will time heal this feeling, or will it intensify even more than ever? I guess I have to wait and see what happens. he looked so good that day. different from the others. it was striking. it was the very first thing that caught my eye when I entered. but I acted cool. keeping my composure and not raving like crazy to the first person I saw. but mentally, I was really amazed by the way he looked, how good it was.
gosh I sound like I'm raving somehow. but it helps relieve my emotions in a way.
sidenote: had fun with tab today. it was scouring-the-heartland-malls day because we were both sick of going around the city. and it gets really tiring walking around town area, what you get is a pair of aching feet. and it was like a heart-to-heart gossip session with her, as always. thanks cousin! you never fail to make my day. =D
