It's Jay Chou mania, in full force.

Unless you've been living under a rock, or you're not a fan, it's the season when the King of Mandopop is in town!

YES, I'M TALKING ABOUT JAY CHOU. :D :D

I was really disappointed that I couldn't get tickets to watch 'The Era' 2010 World Tour, because the moment tickets went on sale, it was all snapped up within a matter of hours and I was not fast enough! And for all 3 shows, the tickets were gone :(

However, I've met Jay Chou in person once before, when he was in town last December to promote Treasure Hunter with Lin Chi-Ling, so that's some consolation at least I guess.

And right now, it means that his songs are on repeat mode on my computer. :)

Savior Of The World

There's a faith unshakable
There's a love unstoppable
Eternal hope of the gospel
There's a universe in pain
All creation cries your name
Entropy meets your redemption

Let every tongue confess, to proclaim that

Jesus, savior of the world
Your love so unreserved
Salvation comes to all who calls you
Jesus, be lifted high above
You've been through all the earth
Forever, we exalt you
We exalt you

There's a place of miracles
In a house where dreams are birthed
Eternal love of the Father
That we seek your kingdom first
You become our righteousness
We put our trust in our Savior

Let every tongue confess, to proclaim that

Jesus, savior of the world
Your love so unreserved
Salvation comes to all who calls you
Jesus, be lifted high above
You've been through all the earth
Forever, we exalt you
We exalt you

You hold the world in your hands, in your hands
You are the sovereign king of kings, Lord of Lords
You hold the world in your hands, in your hands
You are the sovereign king

Jesus, savior of the world
Your love so unreserved
Salvation comes to all who calls you
Jesus, be lifted high above
You've been through all the earth
Forever, we exalt you
We exalt you

Jesus, savior of the world
Your love so unreserved
Salvation comes to all who calls you
Jesus, be lifted high above
You've been through all the earth
Forever, we exalt you
We exalt you

I like this song too, it's from the Reign album if you're interested to know. :) My mum also loves it, even though she's never been to City Harvest before. She heard me listening and singing along to this song almost every night, and naturally she got hooked to it too. :)

Church - Faith, Hope and Love

Service yesterday (technically so because my computer clock indicates 12.03AM already) was awe-inspiring, and it made me tear too.

Pastor Kong preached about love, and when I reflected on it, I think it's really very true too.

The 4 Greek words for love:

1. Storge: The love of family
2. Eros: The love of passion
3. Phileo: The love of friendship
4. Agape: The love of total commitment

Faith, hope and love are 3 essential things, but love is still the greatest! Because only with love, we can go on to achieve greater things in life. :)

I know I'm being rather late by declaring this only now, but it still has to be declared nonetheless.

World Cup 2010 Champion: SPAIN! :D :D

I actually stayed up to watch the game but dozed off in the 2nd half because it was 0-0. And I felt really tired by then too. But anyway, I woke up in time for extra time, and to see Andres Iniesta score that goal for Spain that guaranteed them the World Cup! :D

And Paul the octopus had a really accurate prediction too! HAHAHAHA.

The unbelievable just happened.

Germany got ousted by Spain! :( :(

And what I see on Facebook are comments and status updates regarding Mr 8legs, and how he should be made into a dish, eating octopus and many more.

I love to eat tako sashimi, but in the aftermath of seeing Germany get ousted from the finals by Spain, I can never view octopi and tako sashimi in the same way again. :( :(

So, it's Spain vs Holland for the finals. Who will it be?

Movie Reviews!

Karate Kid is a pretty good show! I know it's a bit late to blog about it, especially since it was about a month or so ever since the movie was released. Jaden Smith's so cute in the movie! :) And Jackie Chan's teaching of the karate skills are pretty inspiring too.
Especially the part when it was mentioned that it's not about how bad you fall, it's more a matter of how you stand up, and whether you choose to stand up when you fall.

I watched this with Tabs just now! Shall not go into great detail because I don't want to spoil it for those who've yet to watch it, but just to note 1 point: There're a bit too many kissing scenes. -__-
But anyway, the movie is really worth the watch! And it's easier to follow it if you've read the novel beforehand, of course. :)

And I shall just let myself go crazy over Taylor Lautner! :D Washboard abs, smoking hot looks, nice tan, blemish-free skin.. Envy! :D
From the novel itself when Jacob claims that he can be Bella's air and sun, it's really pretty clear that he truly loves Bella, right from the bottom of his heart.

Yes, it's quite clear I'm on Team Jacob. :D

Though I've to admit that usually I feel that novels are better than books(this can be vouched for thanks to the Harry Potter series), but Eclipse is an exception. The movie's in a way better than the book somehow. Of course, it doesn't hurt when one of the lead actors is smoking hot and good-looking! :D

Soccer = Universal Language.

Yes, I think I've said it before and I'll say it again. It's World Cup mania, except that it hit an all-time high today!

I managed to get permission from my parents to have the cell group come over to my place after service to watch Germany vs Argentina. :D Anyway about half the cell group came over, as some of the others aren't very keen on soccer/have something on. And oh boy, the match was way beyond exciting!

Final score:
Argentina 0 Germany 4 (Mueller 3, Klose 68, 89, A. Friedrich 74)

WOOT GERMANY. Judging by the way they played this year, the possibility of them winning the World Cup this year is really high. And it's a high likelihood that it's going to be Germany vs Spain for semi-finals.

Germany supporters: Me, Xiaowei, Lin Hui, Tien Min, De Jia, Jun Yuan and my parents LOL.
Argentina supporters: Peter, Joycelyn, Lava
Yu Xian and Yi Long were neutral I think. HAHA.

Mueller's goal was the fastest ever since the beginning of the tournament, it beat Steven Gerrard's record of 4 minutes during England vs USA. Needless to say all the Germany supporters in my house were all screaming ourselves hoarse during the times when they scored! :D

Next up, Spain vs Paraguay! Spain for the win, for this game!

I hope Germany win World Cup this year. :D

It's been a hectic few days for me lately, which comprises lots of running around, settling stuff, work, cell group and church. And of course, WORLD CUP! :)

I met up with Shihui and Grace to gym at Jurong West Stadium+chill out at JP on Wednesday, before rushing home to shower and go to Tiong for Karate Kid. I like the movie! :) We didn't really gym much in the end because we were all feeling concussed, thanks to staying up until 430AM watching Spain beat Portugal.

Needless to say we 3 girls were discussing World Cup. That's the hot topic on everyone's lips this month!
I casually mentioned something about Portugal, which I can't really remember now, but Shihui's response cracked me up.

Shihui: Oh the Portuguese can now go back home to eat their egg tarts!

HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Holland came from behind to beat Brazil 2-1 in the first quarter-finals match! It's a shock all right, but it's great that Holland won as they are really good this year!

Somehow I think it'll be Holland vs Germany for the finals. Hmm we shall see about that. World Cup 2010 has got a lot of upsets and unexpected surprises!

I hate to whine, but yesterday(technically so cos my computer clock reads 1.13am now) was a wet and cold day because of that unforeseen downpour! I went for lunch with my colleague at Margaret Drive(I'm working part time at MDIS), we didn't bring out our umbrellas, and we got stranded at the hawker centre. Walking back was obviously impossible, needless to say. And it happens that Church Of Our Saviour was just next to the hawker centre, so I suggested trying to go there and see whether we could get spare umbrellas. Thank God we managed to get them, or we'd be stranded for even longer, because the downpour became heavier! :) The downside is that my shoes were drenched, and it got incredibly cold in the office. :(

Surprisingly I got to Jenna's early for cell group after work. Thanks to my dad who gave me a lift in this heavy downpour, I actually managed to reach before 7! In fact it's my first time I ever reached before 7. Gosh.

Enjoyable cell group today! (: With old maid being played once again, and heart attack.

Forfeit after Old Maid. Yes, it was trying to dance like Madonna OMG.

And Dr A.R. Bernard is preaching for tomorrow's service! :D
