Hello, welcome. :) I'm Glennda, 19 going on 20 this year!
Came into the world on 5th August 1990.

I have a passion for long distance running, sports, reading, music, writing and many other things, and blue-myfavouritecolour is an avenue for me to share my muses, thought and whatever's been going on.

Eventually I want to run Adidas Sundown Full Marathon and Standard Chartered Full Marathon!

I love my family, friends and my cell group, W398+N385! :)

Through God, I can do anything, and nothing is impossible. For God loves us and will never forsake us.

Oh and I'm a big fan of Westlife and Jay Chou, and would love it if I can get the chance to meet Westlife in person one day! :D

:)

Sometimes, it's the littlest things in life that puts a big, wide smile on your face. And I have plenty of reasons to smile lately despite the stress and frustrations of the ever increasing load of schoolwork and exams to study for.

Midterms wise, I've done average, which is better than I expected cos I was expecting to screw up philosophy. Praise the Lord!
My grades aren't fantastic, and it's time to work even harder now!
Damn philo, I can't understand why arguments have to be made so complicated. The world is already so complicated as it is already, and that's 1 thing I don't want anymore. I'll be so glad when this semester is over, because there'll be no more philosophy!

I've got so many reasons to smile lately, just 1 text could make me so happy and the smile on my face just widens considerably these days. :D

With Cherie, on 241 after Saturday's service :) we were both on our way to go seperate ways to chill out and attend parties, me to chill out and her attending parties, and we decided to experiment with the various photography applications that I have on my trusty iPhone 4 :) I love Fridays and Saturdays because of cell group, church, chillax sessions, fellowships and many more! :D

multiplication = greater things to come ahead! :)

W398+N385 have multiplied already! :D

Actually, it was 2 weeks ago, on 8th October that we multiplied, just that I didn't bring my camera and so, the photos are tagged on my Facebook from Peter's profile!

It's a bit funny, and I think it'll take some getting used to not having the secondary school kids around in the cell. Before multiplication, the cell group was really big, 20plus people, so you can imagine the amount of ruckus and camwhoring we guys are capable of, and we have a ton to gossip and laugh about too.

Now, W398 is a bit quieter than it used to be, cos the secondary school kids are in N385 now. Perhaps it's because W398 is the older lot of people, not that I mind! :)

Multiplication is just the beginning of something big to come ahead for us! :)

Whining and inappropriate behaviour, some of the biggest banes of my existence

I don't get it with girls who whine a lot, especially to their boyfriends. Really!
There was this one time I was at West Mall MacDonald's after school, and I saw this secondary
school girl sitting in front of me, clinging to her boyfriend (whom I think is about her age, if not at least a year older), and whining non-stop about something.

Honestly, it's very childish and distasteful. How he put up with it is way beyond me. If I were him, I'd have put my foot down and told her to shut her trap instantly! It's so irritating to hear people whine non-stop, especially if it's over trivial issues. If it's major stuff like schoolwork stress, I guess it's not that bad, because even I'm guilty of whining when things get stressful. But it's the incessant whining that got to me big time.

I really, really hate it when people whine so much over minor issues. Can't you just put your head down, suck it up and bear with it?! Surely, it can't be that difficult to get into action to make things better for yourself.
It's true indeed, that being proactive is better than being reactive.

Whenever I'm outside and see a girl behaving in such a manner, especially towards her boyfriend, I'd always tell myself that I'd never, ever whine to my future boyfriend. To be really frank, I don't see what's nice about a girl continually whining. It wouldn't kill you to have some backbone and guts, and just be able to stand on your own feet!

Another thing that really gets my goat big time, is seeing people who're so well-dressed, nicely made up and all, behave in an uncouth manner, ie. laughing so loudly in public. We're all bound to have moments when we laugh loudly, especially when something really funny happens. But something that happened recently made me feel annoyed, and I'd never ever do such a thing in public. It's so inappropriate!

Of school days, crazy overeating, laughter and moments in between (:

Life's been busy for me lately, with schoolwork, church and cell group being the major stuff that keeps me so occupied.
And now, another thing to keep me busy - track and field training!

Yes, I joined the team today, and I'm nursing a cramped calf in the process. :( It suddenly cramped up when I was bending down to lace up my track shoes and I couldn't believe how bad the pain got. It's a wonder I managed to do 3 rounds of a warm up run, fartlek and a 5km run (I ran that cos I'd been a bit out of it, haven't run for 3 weeks and I'm going for Standard Chartered 10km this December ohmygoodness).

Updates wise, this week has been a fun-filled one.
Sze Ying's 20th birthday on Monday, ESL407(C) girls decided to go for xiaolongbao and steamboat buffet at Holland Village Crystal Jade. Needless to say, we all ate way too much and felt so full after that, to the extent that the next day we all actually just ate fruits during break, and subsequently throughout the day I ate very little too.

We ordered 8 baskets worth of xiaolongbaos! And finished them all :)
Part of the food, we ordered much more!

Shake it like a polaroid picture! :D

The rest of the photos are on Facebook, I don't want to upload everything cos it's rather troublesome :)

I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing

I could stay awake just to hear you breathing
Watch you smile while you are sleeping
While you're far away dreaming
I could spend my life in this sweet surrender
I could stay lost in this moment forever
Every moment spent with you is a moment I treasure

Don't want to close my eyes
I dont want to fall asleep
'Cause I'd miss you baby
And I dont want to miss a thing
'Cause even when I dream of you
The sweetest dream will never do
I'd still miss you baby
And I don't want to miss a thing

Lying close to you feeling your heart beating
And I'm wondering what you're dreaming
Wondering if its me you're seeing
Then I kiss your eyes
And thank God we're together
I just want to stay with you in this moment forever
Forever and ever

Don't want to close my eyes
I dont want to fall asleep
'Cause I'd miss you baby
And I dont want to miss a thing
'Cause even when I dream of you
The sweetest dream will never do
I'd still miss you baby
And I dont want to miss a thing

I dont want to miss one smile
I dont want to miss one kiss
I just want to be with you
Right here with you, just like this
I just want to hold you close
Feel your heart so close to mine
And just stay here in this moment
For all the rest of time

Don't want to close my eyes
I dont want to fall asleep
'Cause I'd miss you baby
And I dont want to miss a thing
'Cause even when I dream of you
The sweetest dream will never do
I'd still miss you baby
And I dont want to miss a thing

Don't want to close my eyes
I dont want to fall asleep
I dont want to miss a thing

No longer missing in action!

I know I've left this page stagnant for more than 2 weeks, my bad!
School life is busy so far and I haven't really felt the inclination to blog daily too. Seriously, who will blog regularly when you're swamped with readings, quizzes, essays, assignments and revision?!
And midterms are coming up really soon too. Cue the big sighs of tiredness and frustration. :(

Anyway, I shall not whine too much, I'm back with updates of what's been happening lately.
Namely, F1! :D My bro entered an art competition that was F1-themed, and he won it. And it won us tickets worth $1288 EACH, for my family that is :D We went on the finals itself though, talk about adrenaline rushes and thrills! :)

With my mum and bro!

Up we go on the Flyer!

OK, the Glambert fans are going to scream big time. I actually saw the man himself, in person! :D It was so surreal that I actually saw Adam Lambert in person, and the thing is that I'm not really a big fan of him. My word, he really has the glam factor all right! So what if he's gay? I still think he's an awesome glam rocker :)
Surreal to the extent, that when I saw him onstage, I actually asked the person next to me if he was Adam Lambert ohmygosh. And at the time when we reached the venue, we were just in time to see Adam Lambert, and he went 'Hello Singapore!' :D and we saw his entire performance! It was just 10minutes but heck, it's still a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see him in person! :)
I'm on the top of the world, looking down on creation :)
Nice sunset :)
Main focus is on Helix Bridge. And come 5th December, I'll be running through it for Standard Chartered! :D From my iPhone4, initially I thought the photo was a bad one because it was rather blur. But when I uploaded it I realized it actually looked awesome when it was blurred. :)

5 cars in a row, woohoo! :)

OK the rest are on Facebook. It's insane to upload them all here because there're 58 in the album and it's going to take forever to upload. And my bed beckons, goodnight world! :)
