days leading up to love fiesta

this week is seriously crazy.. and it's going to be a very long entry.. and I'm only writng about the significant, funny and annoying things that happened in this past week. scdc meetings were everyday, and we were either painting hearts and banners or cutting out hearts from corrugated boards and cardboard, and alot of very long debriefs and dry runs for J1 leaders.
Tuesday
physics period was cancelled at the last minute because chubby tan didn't come.. since it was a 1 and 1/2 hour period, and that we had a 1/2 hour break right after, it was a 2 hour break for us. it was freezing cold, people took to running around to get abit warm. I ran around the track, then jj and celeste joined me after that.. chuan boon, celeste, me, jj, jiahan and yongcheng then started playing basketball to pass the time.. and we saw zhenyu rollerblading and singkiat running along beside him..
wednesday
had that chinese test today, thanks millions to jinguo who gave me hints and to joel for lending me his H1 chinese textbook. he saved me $5! =) and anyway the test was like so easy lah. =) went to band room to take my waterbottle which I forgot to take with me when I left the band room on monday for scdc stuff.. chatted with christofle, victor and joel for awhile before dashing off again.. then alternated between the ops room where banner-painting was in progress and the express canteen stall where s27 spent the remaining time left leading up to love fiesta doing up the ice lollies. then scdc had meeting again, and more painting. dinner was provided at the rooftop, it was nice.. =) me, chunlai, xinfang and si aun took alot of curry chicken and bread on 1 plate, and we couldn't finish it. =\ then we somehow just started singing, and gathered around the keyboard where zhongru was playing.. he's damn talented lah, both musically and artistically. =)
thursday
got back that chinese test, I got 22/30. and miss goh reckons that my chinese is good. 0_o and I was only half-trying. somehow JC chinese teachers are very easily satisfied. really.
friday
j1 planning com members released at 11am today, absolutely great. s27 got into trouble for attempting to pon GP tutorial. and now I seriously think that niss chew's attitude is absolutely sucky. then went for econs, ended up whispering stupid stuff with singkiat, and laughing our heads off when zhenyu fell asleep during econs lecture and got caught by the lecturer. 10am came, planning com members decided to skip maths lecture. me, su ern, singkiat, janus and joy went around pasting the s27 stall leaflets to promote our stall. =)
kudos to singkiat for suggesting that we paste them in the dispenser of the vending machines! he's so smart lah, no one would have thought of such an idea! painting of all the banners became double intensive, zhong ru did the biggest banner i'd ever seen in my life, then we started painting it from 1pm to around 7+pm. 6 hours straight, even though I once again alternated from the class stall and the ops room.
I SAT ON BLUE PAINT!! dammit, now my black FBTs are blue, the bottom of my orientation tee is blue too, my legs are covered with red paint thanks to yu feng, and other colours on my legs as well. the banner is damn nice lah, it took most of scdc to paint it.. then dinner up at the rooftop again.. and I wasted the chicken rice, but strangely I just wasn't hungry even though the last meal I had was in the morning at 10+am.. zhenyu piggybacked fanndly all the way up to the rooftop for dinner despite her protests that she wanted to walk.. he just didn't bother to listen to her, he carried her all the way up.. and he was like damn exhausted by then. he's such a gentleman! =D then went to LT5 for video viewing of all the j2s in action in their prep for love fiesta.. and some of us got a flower and corrugated hearts with all our messages on it to give to the j2s. =)
ended up nearly falling asleep cos it was tiring enough. then the biggest love fiesta banner was hung around 1.30am. I lay down on the track and watched them put the cable-ties, nearly fell asleep bu tdidn't in the end.. played around with kangsheng's phone cos I left mine upstairs in the log room charging it. tried to get a pic of it but no point doing it, it was too dark. even night mode doesn't help.
and the worse of it. scdc on sentry duty from 4-5am. somehow alot of ppl slept right through. I asked xinfang to wake me up at 4 so I could do it with her, somehow I just slept throughout. =\
