hols-not!

oh yeah june hols are finally here! =)
though it's definitely not the time to slack off since it's the only june hols we'll have to do all the revision that need to be done and do that extremely large pack of holiday work that awaits us.
let's see.
-chem tutorial: group VII elements-june organic chem quiz-chemistry periodicity SATT
-physical chem revision exercise pack
-MJC gp prelim 2007 paper 1
-econs holiday assignment
-econs tutorial 7: macroeconomic policies
-maths tutorial+assignment 20B-maths tutorial+assignment 21
-maths tutorial+assignment 22
-physics revision pack
I don't envy the lot of work that needs to be done. and in the midst of all these work that needs to be done, there's still the intensive amount of revision that has to be done, not only for pure maths block test, chem common test and physics lect test, and it's also for prelims and the actual 'A's.
go girl. you can do it. 2+ more months to prelims. 5 more months to 'A's. you can do it!
went to school yesterday morning for band room 'revampment', only it was sorting out the astonishing number of scores we have. the worse thing is that there are so many missing scores. and it was tough to arrange the scores in chronological order, as neatly as possible and putting back the scores in their respective boxes. the smell was so musty and dusty that I couldn't help sneezing so many times. and it was pretty obvious that the scores had probably not been taken out of their boxes for ages, and even the paper looks abit coloured due to age. =\
I wish I had come to school around 9plus instead, because it was raining so heavily in the morning that I was almost totally drenched despite having an umbrella. =/ and my shoes and socks will soaked through as well! regretted not wearing my flip-flops to school that day. and I had to go around the band room barefoot because it was really uncomfortable to wear wet shoes throughout.
shiva returned me the luggage that I lent to her for the chengdu trip yesterday, and I took a break from arranging scores to chat with her and walk out to SPC to buy something to eat.
we started talking about the sichuan earthquake, and about how terrible it was. since on sunday, china was hit by a 6.4-magnitude aftershock, leaving a few people dead. I wonder how high is the death toll going to rise. and the actual quake was 7.9-magnitude strong.
since the time when the quake struck, 60000 people are dead, 20000 people are still missing. seeing china in ruins and the general sense of despair among the earthquake survivors is really heart-wrenching.
shiva told me that the rural school that they went to when they were in chengdu collapsed during the earthquake, and the other school had its roof falling in. luckily the students managed to escape from those buildings in time.
what was even more shocking was that the period when they went to chengdu was actually the earlier period. apparently the timing when they were supposed to go was around the time when the earthquake struck.
at that point when the earthquake struck, I was mentally thinking, 'thank god the council elects came back from chengdu already and are away from this terrible disaster. I don't dare to think about what would happen if they were there when the quake struck.'
however, it seems that more attention is focused on the sichuan earthquake victims, while the victims of the myanmar cyclone don't seem to receive much attention from the world. =\
