Hello, welcome. :)
I'm Glennda, 19 going on 20 this year!
Came into the world on 5th August 1990.
I have a passion for long distance running, sports, reading, music, writing and many other things, and blue-myfavouritecolour is an avenue for me to share my muses, thought and whatever's been going on.
Eventually I want to run Adidas Sundown Full Marathon and Standard Chartered Full Marathon!
I love my family, friends and my cell group, W398+N385! :)
Through God, I can do anything, and nothing is impossible. For God loves us and will never forsake us.
Oh and I'm a big fan of Westlife and Jay Chou, and would love it if I can get the chance to meet Westlife in person one day! :D
shit I really want to do well. but maths and chem were described by literally everyone as an unqualified disaster. =\ maths was a horror in my class, I shudder to think about how it's going to be like for chem. =( what is more that many people whose maths were usually good somehow only scraped through this time. goes to show what a disaster the paper was.
time to buck up. time to chiong like crazy.
a whole pile of revision awaits me today. going to je library with cherie to mug later.
went to jp library with cherie and shihui yesterday after school. I ended around 2 but stayed in school until 3 plus cos cherie was still at home and we would meet at jp later. so I passed the time talking to garrick and benedict. hahaha. =) but studying in the library is much more productive than studying at home, honestly speaking. =)
until then! =) won't be updating regularly from now on because of study.

maths block test
maths block test today, or technically yesterday, since it's already past 12am. thank goodness I managed to keep my head and not totally lose it when I'm under moments of stress.
damn, I swear the test was complex since quite a number of questions were complex number questions. LOL. that was a joke I heard from someone in passing after the test earlier.
went to JP with cherie, shihui, mayching and angela for lunch at pizza hut after that. it seemed like jp was packed with jj ppl in various eating places, namely pizza hut, ljs, kfc.
the clear enough pic we took earlier. we were sitting right inside pizza hut. talk about comfortable. =D
CMB POP 2008! I'm really very proud of my juniors! =D david's now the drum major for CMB 2008-2009 batch, the sec 4s who are stepping down all at least have the post of sergeant. sec 1s, 2s and 3s marching in complete formation direct juniors and seniors! =D take 2! if you're wondering why some of us aren't looking into the camera, it's because there were 3 other cameras in addition to mine. =D kuku padey tan with his direct juniors! =D what I always played back in CMB <3 introducing the sec 4s who stepped down: joey, syahir, shermin, nissah. =D 2005-2006 batch CMB percussionists percussion area-before the performance started I didn't have an easy time getting this shot of the juniors, as the first time I attempted to take one, some of them noticed and they all bent their heads down, trying to hide their faces. shy juniors indeed. =) liling, sec 4 CMB student conductor conducting the senior band during the performance segment. she's also band major(music) =) the senior band enjoying one of the last pieces of music. it was abba gold if i'm not wrong.
more photos with shermin. me, jingni and jocelyn ended up camwhoring with her camera and taking photos of the performance until her cam died. LOL.
seeing the juniors reminded me of the times we had all the intense rehearsals, the various major performances we had, namely MUSE Festival 2006, esplanade 6-in-1 combined performance 2006, SYF 2005. and seeing all the blazers reminded me of the times when we all donned the blazer for major performances. the music brought me back in time as well, like wizard of oz. suddenly all the memories came rushing back to me.
I really miss CMB and all the ups and downs we had. most of all I miss CMB percussion section alot.

omg. I feel really panicked and worried right now. it's as though I'm on a ticking time bomb that might go off anytime.
help.
left abit of chem, and more maths to practise. just realised that my confidence level is not there yet. it's apparently rising, but somehow when I attempted last year's maths prelim questions, my confidence took a direct hit again. I swear it's like a roller coaster ride. =(
crap. why does this always have to happen?! and I still have to keep referring back to the notes and answers. =( no doubt that's the way to learn, but there's no reference available during exams! if reference was allowed, everybody would be acing all the tests and exams already right now as we speak. =(
2 more days to maths common test, 5 more days to chem common test. =\
it's father's day today, so happy father's day to all fathers out there! =D
ok that sounds abit cheesy. lol. abit of time to relax today. what a good thing to have. hols are ending really soon, and that marks the start of maths and chem common test, and the start of the stressful period already! =\
on a brighter note, happy birthday to jiajun(s27), kiatboon and hongyang! =D though you guys might not see this but yeah. =)
5 more days to maths common test, 8 more days to chem common test. =\
ohwells. what to do when it's A level year this year? it's tiring and not to mention stressful. =\

mug!
thank god it's friday. a time for me to rest abit before continuing with revision marathon, only this time round the speed is going to be more intensified than before. =)
surprisingly it's been rather fulfilling for me this week. even though there's still alot more revision to go before I can actually finish, at least there's a sense of accomplishment somehow. =)
jiajun(s27) suddenly talked to me on msn on wednesday night, wishing me all the best in mugging. I wasn't really expecting anyone to talk to me on msn at that time, especially since it was past midnight already. nonetheless, it's still nice to catch up with an old friend. =D especially since I haven't seen jiajun for ages, since.. 01'08 jj night? if I'm not wrong that is.
after mugging in school on thurs, father picked me up, and we intended to go fetch my mum from work around 5plus. he brought me to the arena, some sort of country club to kill time since we were supposed to pick my mum up at 6.30. and I met singkiat. =D with his brother. and they were going to play pool. =) chatted for abit as well. =)
it was like meeting up with friends whom you haven't seen for so long. and the feeling is good in a sense as well.
I wish holidays were 2-3 weeks longer. =( 6 more days to maths common test. 9 more days to chem common test.
go glennda. you can do it! =D

=)
studying is getting into full swing mode already. =)
GP essay which I was rushing out. to give me more time available for mugging. =\
quite fed up with constantly staring at chem these days. even maths has lost its appeal somehow because I have problems with chapters 21 and 22. =( and it's frustrating when you want to progress but keep bumping into obstacles all the time.
ohwell. enough about grumbling. anything's possible if you try harder enough. =)
4 reasons why I'm an absolute nut over jay chou. =) looking at the tabs above, one is my blog title, the other 2 are youtube videos of which 1 is where I'm watching jay's incomparable 2004 tour, and the other, where I'm letting the next part of the tour buffer. and my blog template as well. =)
going to continue 'mugging like crazy' process again. ciao! =D

o.O
I swear I'm the biggest twit in the world. seriously.
I got my timings for chem lect totally mixed up, thinking that lect starts at 1030 when in fact it was 0830. -.-" and the result is that I missed out a heavy bit of chem lect, and I managed to get my notes filled up thanks to gerald. seriously, it was stupid walking in, then realising that the lecture was about to end. -.-"
in future, if I do have ANY extra lessons during the hols, I'm going to double confirm everything.
and this means I have to stare at my transition elements notes for ages until I can understand the concepts. -.-
we didn't go sakura yesterday after all, since cherie has a problem with her wisdom tooth. so we headed off to jp swensens. damn the service was slow! but the food is good. I regret not buying ice-cream, even though I really wanted to, since I'd been craving for it for ages. but at the time I was quite full and the others weren't eating ice-cream so I decided not to do so. =\

revision galore!
this hols is SO not a holiday. quite obvious to all j2 students actually. still rushing all the holiday work that's given to us, thankfully i'm on track so far. it's almost total revision and homework, not much time on hand to go out and play even though it's so tempting. and one week of the june hols has gone by already. it's damn fast.
please, let time go abit slower. I'm not the only one who needs time here, all the j2s nationwide need it as well. we need the time, the motivation, the perseverance and endurance to carry on and finish the tremendous amount of revision that needs to be covered.
-chem tutorial: group VII elements -june organic chem quiz -chemistry periodicity SATT -physical chemistry revision exercise pack (8/10 done) -MJC GP prelim paper 1 2007 -econs holiday assignment -econs tutorial 7: macroeconomics policies -maths tutorial+assignment 20B -maths tutorial+assignment 21 -maths tutorial+assignment 22 -physics revision pack
I swear majority of this hols is going to be spent on maths and chem, since there's common test coming up. funnily it seems like maths and chem are the only subjects that hold my interest, and I just want to keep doing it, to give me that feeling of satisfaction whenever I finish a tough maths assignment or understand a complicated chem concept.
I need motivation to keep going for GP, econs and physics and get my best grades yet for everything, to go into my ideal course at university.
go glennda. YOU CAN DO IT! =D
band camp from 30-31 may. officially stepped down from band already. no more worries, no more practices. feels good to be free. strangely, I didn't feel upset or anything when the election results. it was kind of 'oh, stepped down at last. time to concentrate more on studies.' and that was it basically. and anyway it's a good thing I've stepped down already, because I've seen the practice schedule and I don't envy the timing of their practices as they end so late each time.
ending off here, having maths lect tml, chem lect on both thurs and fri. and going out for dinner with muggers at sakura tml. =)
FAILURE COMES BEFORE SUCCESS. quite a random note, but it's actually quite true. my grades aren't exactly the best right now, I need to push on even more.
