Hello, welcome. :) I'm Glennda, 19 going on 20 this year!
Came into the world on 5th August 1990.

I have a passion for long distance running, sports, reading, music, writing and many other things, and blue-myfavouritecolour is an avenue for me to share my muses, thought and whatever's been going on.

Eventually I want to run Adidas Sundown Full Marathon and Standard Chartered Full Marathon!

I love my family, friends and my cell group, W398+N385! :)

Through God, I can do anything, and nothing is impossible. For God loves us and will never forsake us.

Oh and I'm a big fan of Westlife and Jay Chou, and would love it if I can get the chance to meet Westlife in person one day! :D

Run, and prove that you can do it no matter what.

It seems like lately, I've gotten an increasingly strong urge to run. But now that my cough is starting to return again, the plans to start the long distance runs have been hindered, once again. :(

I really want to run! Running in a way, releases me. It challenges me, and spurs me on further to the finishing line.
Somehow, I feel that it's really a 'me-against-the-world' thing to run, especially when it comes to long distance runs. It really challenges you, pushes you to the limit, tests your endurance and perseverance.

Because your enemy is not the people who are around you(especially those who run faster). Your enemy is yourself.
Only by telling yourself that you can do it, and by keeping the faith, you'd be able to surmount all obstacles.

Going for this with my cousins! 29th May 2010. It's only the 10km run that we're trying out now, because we're newbies to long distance running and it definitely would not do to run a full marathon on your very first run, because it needs pretty intensive training. Lack of proper training can make you burned out easily, not to mention increasing your risk of sustaining muscle injuries.
I got an invitation to join Citispa, via Facebook. But I'm not sure if I can go for it, even though the price of the run(for the early bird, anyway!) is really quite cheap compared to Sundown and Stan Chart, because of the starting location at East Coast, and the start time at 6.30AM which is really way too early. And I stay in the West! Pfffft.
But then again, most marathons start around that time, especially for Stan Chart.

And it's pretty amazing how so many people in the world actually love to run.

The link is to the NIKE website, for Nike Human Race 10km run. Though this is actually the statistics for 2009, the numbers are still astounding.

I know that I must and will conquer Adidas Sundown 10km!

Next up might be Nike Human Race 10km(that's if they have it this year, because I can't seem to find any details about Nike Human Race 2010 online!), and Standard Chartered Singapore 2010 21km. :)
1 day, I will definitely conquer a full 42km marathon!
And I marvel at those who actually conquer un ultra marathon. That's 84km! No joke about it.

In all honesty, I have to say that it's through reading someone's blog, and learning a lot more about life and how you have to grab ahead, that kind of inspired me to run long distance. Somehow, I have a slight twinge of regret that I didn't try out long distance running last year. But nonetheless, it's never too late to try out long distance running. :)

Because life is unpredictable, and you never know what can happen in the next second. Life is meant to be lived to the fullest!

I hope this inspires you to run a marathon too. :)
