Family
Yesterday, something happened that I would never, ever forget.
I shall not reveal too much over here because I think it's a bit of a sensitive issue - even though I honestly think that the people in concern would not read my blog, because 1 of them is really young! (And if you honestly want to know, please just ask me in person!)
But the main point I'm trying to get across is, family is one of the most important things we must have in life, after God. Because the thing is that if parents split up, the biggest casualty isn't the parents, instead it's the children. They are the ones who bear the brunt of the emotional burden. And it's something that I've witnessed firsthand in my life - but of course, not from my family!
Especially if they're really young(ie. 5-10 years old). In my opinion, I feel that while they may seem like any other normal kid on the surface, but their actions and the way they speak sometimes can be heart-warming, yet heart-breaking at the same time.
Honestly speaking, while young, their actions can give some hints about their family backgrounds - whether it's stable or not.
This incident made me feel a combination of happy and sad, and it's made me realise how truly fortunate I am - with a stable family, with God in my heart and life.
Because when your family is dysfunctional/broken, it can be really painful to go through life, without anyone really close to turn to.
Henceforth, the essential thing is: Treasure your family. You never know what can happen in the next instant.
