Relationship Muses
I guess I could describe relationships as complex, yet it's a wonderful thing too.
I met up with an old friend recently, and we were discussing relationships, and I realized that we both have very similar mindsets about relationships. We both don't believe in those 'play play' kind of relationships that most secondary school students would do, and if my reckoning is right, he is just as serious as me about the issue of relationships.
Seriously, I've never quite understood why some people would go into a relationship, when they know that the relationship is bound to fail eventually.
The thing is, what's the point of getting into a relationship when you know it's going to end badly eventually? Is it worth it to set yourself up for a tremendous heartbreak? If you know the other person has a lousy character/attitude, yet you still want to get into a relationship with that person, it's a pretty dumb thing to do.
Yes, heartbreaks in relationships are part and parcel of life, even I cannot deny that fact. But wouldn't it be better to avoid getting into a relationship, if you know that you're going to face a heartbreak eventually?
