mass dance trial
number 4 ogl meeting today. mass dance! =D
pity I missed out number 3 ogl meeting which was wet games, because of band fest commitments and I was away for rehearsals.
and the batch dance for next year is complicated! so much turning around for the girls and alot of posing for both girls and guys. I don't mind the posing, but it's the turning around part that gets me absolutely muddled and dizzy. oh my. but it's not so bad for me, cos even though it's my first time learning the dance, I somewhat managed to catch the movements for the first part of the song, and for part of the chorus.
I guess what's needed now is more practice. =)
and I have to go back to school tml for banner painting. =0 I don't really mind it though, it probably means a suntan for me. that's if it doesn't rain. and please, I hope there's no rain tml.
yeah wow. like I can control the weather according to my wishes. lol. but rainy weather's a drag, and all it seems to do is make everyone sleepy.
I want more mass dance! =DD

MAD camp night. =) it's actually westzone 2 camp. =)
I wasn't a facilitator or a planning com member for this, but I crashed the facs yesterday, and somehow managed to blend in because of what I was wearing, cos I was wearing the same attire as the facs. =D
after maths lect was end of the day for me already. me and shihui went to OPS room to start tying water bombs, and I happily sat in the pool and got all wet. when I had PW rehearsal later. lol.
I got hyped up for mass dance again! =D this time round, alot more J2s crashed in, along with some J1s. danced with kenny again, and poor guy, he was really tired. he's losing it too, as in his voice is nearly gone. not unlike me during 02'07, when I was feeling the same way as him.
rushed off again to take back my pw stuff, then went back once again for mass dance. =)
me and shihui exchanged shirts for kinetic warfare, cos she was wearing my orange shirt. the facs needed to wear orange at night for MAD night, and I told zhenghui that I might come and help out for the performance cos they aren't that confident about their steps for 5 colours.
so I did it, and went onstage with them for the dance. and it was fun! =) though the atmosphere wasn't as hyped up compared to 01'07 and 02'07.
I really like the deco that the SCDC councillors and attaches did, it was like 02, and just as nice. kudos to you guys!
kudos to tommy as well who came back to rara the crowd! it's amazing how he can scream and rara so loud, and yet doesn't seem to lose his voice. even my throat was starting to hurt with all the screaming, and I was screaming for only a few hours. no wonder when camps come up, councillors+leaders' best friends=strepsils. LOL.
mass dance rocks my socks. =D

busy. =D
basically this week has been busy. having fun, that is.
151007it was yet another round of online marathon again, for PW and slacking. went out with tabs for dinner, and to catch up after not meeting up for so long. went to 1 of the sushi places at cathay cineplex. the food is great, the cost of 1 plate of sushi is 99 cents. WOOHOO. we ate 12 plates and felt like exploding hahaha.

individual group rehearsal for OP today. we laughed at yongcheng's actions when he was speaking. he seriously is damn hilarious. LOL.

I got back my CIP form today, and I want to curse and swear. I was involved in so many activities like 02, love fiesta.. and I got only
5 hours! I don't even know how I got 5 hours, it seems ridiculous when I think about it. going online to litespeed also showed something wrong with the record, as some people that I know who are much more involved than me have very few hours recorded as well. good god.
GP tutorial was movie-watching. I laid my head down on my bag and closed my eyes for a rest. I didn't expect to doze off. =\
OP rehearsal was kind of screwed up. the maximum time limit given for 1 person to speak is 5 minutes, and I only spoke for
1 minute and 50 seconds.
shock. gasp. horror.
1. I talked too fast.
2. I have a tad too little content in my slides
strangely, while the webcam was trained on me, I didn't seem to feel nervous or anything. essentially, I forgot that the webcam existed. and actually, I REALLY did forget that the webcam was in the room.
was late for band prac cos I had to go settle my CIP hours form, and fill up all the activities that were not included in my form. -.- and only 1 activity was recorded--student council investiture 2007. wth. =.=!! and I have like 6, maybe more activities not recorded. ok, I have a leaky memory, and I can't remember every single event that I have gone through, besides 02, love fiesta, olympic dream..
today was westzone 2 camp. =) mass dance!!!! =D
it was funny dancing with weixiang initially, his lame jokes cracked me up. big time.
then kenny(s11) danced with me and we got high. =p gerald and wenjie were funny as well. their dance partners=chairs. LMAO. following what weiming did during 01'07.
shihui called me during the mass dance teaching session, and this is hwo ouro conversation went..
shihui: where are you?
me: hall. mass dance. =) you leh?
shihui: you guess.
me: i dunno lah.
shihui: i give you hint. *sound of splashing water*
me: are you in the toilet or at the fountain under PD block?
shihui: no lah. guess again!
me: aiyah I dunno lah. my guessing skills suck. just tell me! =p
shihui: OPS room lah.
ok, the convo didn't exactly go that way, cos my memory SUCKS. but it was quite funny.
she's the ultimate gamer while I'm the ultimate scdc-ian. =DD
and kenny was laughing at me cos he was holding my hand to twirl me around(ok, we were doing Pump It at the time) and I was talking on my handphone. I guess I must have looked silly. hahahaha.
hung out at the D-court before going off with shihui. I left school earlier than her cos she was doing OP, and I was near my house already when she called me and asked if I wanted to go and eat with her. so I made 1 round back to JP, and we went KFC to eat. =)
I'm goign be armed with an extra set of clothes tml, in case I decide to join in wet games, and water bombs come flying my way. =D

busy busy week!
haven't been updating much the past few days cos too many things caught up with me. =)
WESTZONE SUPERSTAR 2007all I can say was, it was great! =D the turn-out at singapore poly convention centre was quite good, and I enjoyed the experience of being a backstage helper and being PA to 2 great singers! =DD not to mention witnessing the behind-the-scenes happenings as well. =D
anyway, zhiwen won both JJ Superstar and Westzone Superstar titles. =D I kind of expected it as well, as I voted for him as well. of course, I voted for both engtong and jerald, after I'm their PA! =D the final battle was down to jerald and zhiwen and everyone, yes, EVERYONE, was chanting jerald's name so loudly that even from backstage, I could hear it, loud and clear. and Fantastic Four's performance was sooo cool! =D the dance movements were like wow. =)
all hail jerald! =D one of the best singers I've ever known in JJ. =D
JJ LEADERS' CAMP 2007the camp was inspiring in a way, in terms of what we'd learned, like teamwork, cooperation, interaction..
1st day: learning about social and dining etiquette was interesting. during the dining etiquette session, the speaker was showing us the different kinds of wine and champagne glasses, and she nearly broke one of the glasses. collective gasp from everyone in LT5. next round, she really dropped and broke a glass. and the lunch was impressive cos it was like meant for us to practise what we'd learnt during the dining etiquette session. =) social etiquette was useful to us too, hopefully it'll be a great benefit in future. =)

oh yes, and I must say..
BALLROOM DANCING ROCKS! I wasn't that hyped up about it actually cos I preferred mass dance. but in the end, when we learned the movements, we got so enthu, everyone was dying for more rounds of ballroom dancing. =D we learnt how to do the cha-cha and everyone was hyped up, we kept demanding for the song to repeated again and again. and if we get to do this for ACES day, along with mass dance, all the better! =D and literally all the leaders were like 'ballroom, ballroom, ballroom!' can imagine how hyped up everyone was about ballroom dancing. =D
afternoon games was fun too, we ran around the school like many times in a go, having a great deal of fun.
vision-casting was kind of an emo session, and my first time in seeing mr chua so emotional. in a way, I could imagine how he felt. we discussed the problems that was faced in leadership and in jj itself, and darren brought up a point that was qite tongue-in-cheek, and it's the kind of statement that not everyone would understand immediately. but when you think back again, what he said really makes alot of sense.
'WE ARE NOT GIVEN ENOUGH OPPORTUNITIES TO FAIL, SO WE DON'T KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE TO FAIL'
I agree whole-heartedly with his statement, because it's very true that we learn from our failures and our past experiences
and sadly, cos vision-casting was dragged on, bidding night was cancelled, where we could have bidden for foods that we wanted. I feel sorry for the councillors who planned so long for this segment, and that it got cancelled. I can imagine the disappointment they felt.
2nd day: happy birthday to sarah! as in sarah the president of jj 27th students' council. =D
after breakfast, I went back to the hall, and the music was going on at full blast. yes, everyone was at it again. BALLROOM DANCING! =D we went crazy with abit of mass dance again subsequently, I really miss mass dance and song-singing sessions alot, it brings back alot of memories from 01 and 02 shadows moments.
about song-singing, I think jerald might be tired of singing already, cos it's like half the time, everyone cheers and eggs him onstage to perform a song for us, and we demand an encore all the time. hahaha. =) but it can't be denied that he has a great voice. =)
the songs sung were all the same as both orientation periods, and it made me feel really sad sometimes cos I really miss the shadows periods, where we all were constantly waging war against the time which was rapidly running out on us. it was as though we were kind of mellowed down into more serious people during shadows period.
went for lunch with shihui at imm after we broke camp, and both of us were super tired. but not tired to the extent where we felt like sleeping over our lunch. at least it wasn't as exhausting compared to olympic dream.
