Orientation 2!

02 has been a very long, tiring and super fun week for us! =D 5 days 4 nights camp, I nearly died during this period due to a SEVERE lack of sleep.

release of JAE results! results released at 8am, I couldn't stand the suspense and I asked my mum to help me go online to check. finally when the list was put up, everyone just dashed to the notice board to check. and it's not names written there, it's your IC number. omfg lah. it makes finding your name even harder!

slacked abit after that with the SCDC gals before going to canteen to eat, heard some rumour fly around, confirmed untrue.
got busy after that with mass dance and all that, doing up the last minute touches for the deco in the canteen and in the hall for 02. got damn stressed and tired about it, finally late at night we got them all up at last. so at least we could let out a big breath. FOR NOW.
I remember I had cup noodles with shalehin zheyuan and darren late at night. can't remember if it was during ogl camp or this day. most likely it's during ogl camp. and we ate cup noodles using 2 spoons. HOHO.

damn crazy in the morning, we were up very early, then we shadows went downstairs to cheer and welcome in the campers. =)
the day itself was damn boring, sitting through so many subject talks and everything. OMG. I fell asleep during one of the talks. hoho. it's hard to sit down and just listen, you'd feel like falling asleep in an instant.
sarah called me, she wanted to know about the subject combinations for arts course in JJ cos she was posted back to IJ and wanted to appeal to JJ. but it's a pity she isn't appealing in to JJ cos JJ doesn't have the subject combi that she wants.
unfortunately I have to be frank, but I really think that JJ subject combis suck. it leaves you with very little options, that's all I can say.
mass dance after that! =) I meant to dance with zhengwei, one of the new OGLs that I just knew today and my OGL too. hoho. actually I'm not an official student in JJ during PAE.. that's why I'm in OG9. those who were in JJ as official students during first 3 months are all in OG16-31.
and after that we decided that we would go grab a camper instead.. and instead I grabbed another OGL, jin hao to dance. OMG. he's like super crazy lah, being absolutely insane during the dance.. even the other OGLs who were around us gave me that 'I pity you' kind of look. gg.
we noticed 1 guy and 1 girl campers at the back of the hall, not dancing at all.. tried to draw them out and asked them to dance.. the girl said she doesn't really like to mass dance, so couldn't do anything about it despite our efforts. the guy.. I'm sorry to say this, he just looks like the kind of person that everyone would ignore cos he looks abit toot. and which is probably the reason why he couldn't find a partner.
zhengwei brought me over to him and asked that I be his partner for now, cos jin hao 'abandoned' me to go settle some admin stuff. and zhengwei stood next to that guy and me, trying to draw him out of his shell. I think he saw my less than happy expression when he asked me to be that camper's partner, which was why he stood next to us.
thanks so much for that zhengwei, you're really a nice guy! =)

080307-Orientation 2 Camp Day 1
was up by 5 plus, feeling sleepy. but by the time we were up to welcome the campers, everything was ok. we were at the gate, welcoming them in, then christofle saw me, hahahaha. he asked me to pass his torch to nat, cos he knew that I would see her around in school as i'm in shadows.
mass dance after that, it got us high. LOL. mass dance so rocks my world! =) I remember the time when I was a camper during 01, I got totally messed up during mass dance cos I had coordination problems.. but now it's totally different. everytime I dance with my partner and I tell him that I'm in SCDC shadows, he'll have that shocked expression on his face. HOHOHO. cos it's like I'm telling him where he's wrong, telling him the right way to move and all that. hurhur. x)
mass games time! but some of the scdc shadows and yufeng were up in the PD classrooms sleeping.. I was there too, practicing on the keyboard cos I'm the backup pianist for victoria for 02. and out of the many songs, I only managed to catch I'll Remember(Tonight) and Moments. to get it learnt by saturday is near impossible, all the wrong notes will come out. wanted to go for mass games but the piano thing is more important and requires more urgent attention. after that I lay down and fell asleep too. and woke up around 3.50 in time to change into bannister and get down to LT5 to start the deco for song-singing that night. it took us quite a long while but at least we got it done, it was nice. =)
when I came out of LT5 to go to OPS room, cheewai saw me cos his family spot is exactly outside LT5. and he's a 2nd intake student.
cheewai: eh glennda leave the door open leh! I want to get air-con!!
me: CANNOT. sorry cheewai we got surprise planned ahead for you guys! too bad.
seriously. for the sake of air-con, you want me to ruin the surprise? no way man.

behind the scenes, rehearsal for song-singing about half an hour before the actual event started. =)
song-singing was damn high, but at the emo parts, some of the OGLs were still crazy and high, which was abit extreme in my opinion.
after song singing, we had to do clearing up and all while the rest dashed off for night games.
was really pooped after that, couldn't help nearly dozing off during the debrief cos it seriously was a long day and I could see alot of ppl nodding off at this point. yay chinchye bought ice cream for us SCDCians! =D many thanks chinchye! =D
and we helped the gamers set up the telematch for the next day. shifting of tables is hard work. haha. and after that, only a few hours of sleep ahead of us before we have to be up and going, raraing the campers and all. and shit my voice was starting to lose it at that time. just when I really wanted to get very high and cheer along.. MC is sooo sweet to me! he saw my tired face and the minute I talked to him awhile before the debrief, he could tell that my voice was nearly gone. when I sat down beside him during the debrief, he was damn nice. =D
MC: eh I got something for you..
me: huh what's that?
MC opened his palm and it was a HALLS sweet! thanks so much! I exhausted my supply of strepsils earlier and he gave me the sweet to try solve the problem.. =D it's so sweet of him! and after the OGLs were dismissed he gave me a supportive pat on my back.. at least these simple, thoughtful gestures kept me abit more awake for shadows debrief.. =D

090307-Orientation 2 Camp Day 2
the day of mad rush against time. HAHAHA. we had mass dance again in the morning, danced with zhengwei this time =) then when telematch was on scdc shadows went for their break cos we were tired and had alot to do in the afternoon. xinyi said that some shadows had to be onstage for shadows dance that night.. and I really wanted to go on. and no scdc guys left.. all taken up already. damn. the problem of having 7 guys and 13 girls in scdc shadows.
so my first target-darren quek. HAHAHA and he accepted it immediately when I asked him in the afternoon! =D
during the telematch, the food attached were short of ppl and needed some scdc ppl to help prepare lunch.. so me jasmine hema and kerrick went out to PE porch.. was chatting with kyson there while laying out the food and preparing the drinks.. and simon leow was in a hopping mad mood cos he was screaming at some of the OGLs, campers and the gamers. his voice was so loud that even from PE porch I could hear his voice. damn scary. the 2nd time I'd ever seen him blow his top.
SCDC shadows and attached got really busy in the afternoon decorating the hall for JJ nite. we did a great job, the hall was totally transformed and it looked really beautiful! =D

JJ Nite was great! F1's performance was cool, especially the girls' dance performance.. F2's performance I didn't see cos the shadows who were going onstage had to meet outside the hall. and darren asked me to go through the moves with him one more time.. I did it as best as I could cos of space constraint.. then me and darren caught sneak peeps of F3's performance. OMG SEXY BACK! the dance was damn good!
finally shadows dance! =D 5 colours in her hair so rocks! me and darren were at the back and I wasn't happy cos the lighting wire was in our way and we had to dodge them as we danced dammit. and the worse of it, the AVAC cocked up! OMG we could have cried.. but we just stood up as though we ended the performance..
we were like asking one another how come the music stopped. but nvm shadows still did a great job! =D
council dance was next, damn cool! FERGALICIOUS! their moves were sooo cool.. =D
after that was mass dance, danced with keeseng. HAHAHA his dancing not too bad also lah.. =)
shadows were called onstage after that, emo time. mr leow hugged everyone of us mr chua gave us pats on our backs.. =) christina, amira, chinchye, chendi, germaine, kangsheng, emma, bryan and sherman hugged me! =) and this was the first time I see guys like zhenyu and yufeng crying.. I teared too, couldn't help it.. ='(
100307-Orientation 2 CAmp Day 3
song-singing! emo period again.. this time round I cried. really cried. shiyun yufeng pearlyn and 2 other shadows went onstage.. and they all were crying.. and cos shiyun can't stay on in jj, that was the part that hit me hardest. everyone knows her case.. and seeing her cry made me cry too.
quite a number of shadows not staying on in jj, abit sad.. like zhenghan, shiyun, chunlai, zhenyu, fanndly..
but on the good side, majority of them are staying.. =D went to do clean up, scdc got stuck with toilet cleaning again dammit. HAHAHAHA.
took photos again after that. =D

me and darren =D my dance partner for 02 jj nite, one of the most enthu gamers and the emcee for 02. =) and he and me are s27 ppl too =D only thing is that I'm s27[PAE] and he's s27[JAE]

me and yuansheng. HAHAHA.
we celebrated zhenyu's birthday with a chocolate cake.. also in way, we celebrated kangsheng's kaiting's and germaine's birthdays.. and zhenyu got attacked big time. HAHAHAHA.
shadows went out for dinner at mac's. sat with chinkhang, xinyi, NOOBLET amanda and chengxun. and we did mass dance again. HAHAHA. had loads of fun in the process. =D

I like this song, it was sung during song-singing and it holds a great meaning to us.. dedicated to the councillors, teachers, OGLs and all who helped us make 02 a success! =D
